The short version: Marigold has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Everything you enter — your due date, journal, photos and tracker history — is stored only on your device. We never see it, sell it or share it. The only data that leaves your device is what Apple and our purchase provider need to process a purchase.
1. Who is responsible
Marigold (“the app”) is published by Okan Berk Manavoğlu, an independent developer based in Türkiye (“we”, “us”), who is the data controller for the limited processing described below. Contact: support@babybloom.kids.
2. Information that stays on your device
To work, Marigold saves the information you choose to enter: your name or nickname, due date or dating details, baby details, appointments, journal notes and photos, mood and symptom check-ins, weight, kick counts, contractions, water and vitamin logs, checklists, birth plan, favourite baby names and your settings. Much of this is health information. It:
is stored only in the app’s private storage on your device, protected by iOS data protection, and optionally by the app lock (Face ID / Touch ID / passcode);
is never sent to us — we do not operate servers that receive it, and we cannot see it;
is shared with the Home Screen / Lock Screen widget and Live Activities on the same device only (for example your current week and baby size);
may be included in your device’s own iCloud or computer backups if you have turned those on in iOS — those are handled by Apple under your Apple Account settings;
leaves your device only if you choose to export a backup, share a PDF or a message, in which case you decide where it goes;
is erased when you tap Delete all my data in You → Privacy & your data, or when you delete the app.
3. Camera, photos, Face ID and notifications
The camera and photo library are used only when you add a photo, and photos are copied into the app’s private storage. Face ID / Touch ID is handled entirely by iOS; we never receive biometric data. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device; we do not use push-notification servers.
4. Purchases (Marigold Plus)
Payments are processed by Apple. To confirm that your purchase is active, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc. (USA) as our service provider (processor). RevenueCat receives a random, anonymous app user ID, your purchase and transaction details (product, price, currency, dates, renewal status), and basic technical data (device model, OS and app version, country/storefront, IP address). It never receives your pregnancy or health information. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy and Apple’s privacy policy.
Purpose and legal basis: to provide and restore the features you paid for (performance of a contract) and to meet tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation).
International transfer: RevenueCat processes data in the United States under the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent safeguards.
Retention: purchase records are kept for as long as needed to provide the service and as required by law.
5. If you contact us
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply, and keep them for as long as needed to handle your request (legitimate interest).
6. What we don’t do
No advertising, ad networks or ad tracking, and no tracking across apps or websites.
No analytics or third-party tracking SDKs.
No selling, renting or sharing of personal data, and no use of your data to train AI models.
No account or sign-up.
This version of Marigold has no AI features. If we ever add an optional AI feature, it will be off by default, we will tell you exactly what would be sent and to whom, and we will ask for your explicit consent first.
7. Children
Marigold is intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Your rights
Because your pregnancy data stays on your device and under your control, you can view, correct, export or erase it at any time in the app. For data processed for purchases, you can contact us to exercise your rights and we will help, including with requests to RevenueCat.
EU / EEA / UK (GDPR, UK GDPR): rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Türkiye (KVKK, Law No. 6698): your rights under Article 11, including learning whether your data is processed, requesting correction or deletion, and objecting. Requests can be sent to the email above.
Brazil (LGPD): your rights under Article 18, including confirmation, access, correction, anonymisation, portability and deletion, and the right to petition the ANPD.
United States (including California CCPA/CPRA and Washington’s My Health My Data Act): we do not sell or share personal information, do not use it for targeted advertising, and do not collect consumer health data on our systems — it stays on your device.
9. Security
Your data is protected by iOS security and data protection, and never sent to our servers. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your device passcode private and your software up to date.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be shown in the app, and where required we will ask for your consent again.
